COMIC CON 2015: India’s Fiesta

India’s fiesta “COMIC CON 2015” vivaciously attracted gentry of cosplayers, animated characters at NSIC grounds at Okhla, New Delhi. The three day event (4th -6th December; 2015) concluded on a vibrant note in which more than two hundred and fifty exhibitors had displays of popular t-shirts and merchandise of  Disney characters.

Comic characters Chhota Bheem, Scissors Man, Iron Man roamed freely amongst the audience and obliged fans with countless selfies and articulate autographs.

This more than ever popular 5th edition of Comic con witnessed a launch of over 8 new comic books based on varied themes including women empowerment, Indian mythology, ancient tradition and Superheroes of India.

Gandalf (one of the main protagonists in J. R. R. Tolkien’s novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings) enthralled the visitors throughout the entire edition of the event with its costumes.

While the kids were busy with their favourite anime characters, accompaniers and parents were seen enjoying sumptuous meals and conversations over snacks and coffee at lavishly laid food court during the event.

The other popular attraction at the event was the costume play contest, quiz pertaining to mythological stories and India’s culture and historical tradition. Moreover, renowned actor, Kristian Nairn, best known for his portrayal of ‘Hodor’ in ‘Game of Thrones Series’ was one of the star attractions along with Rob Denbleyker co creator of the famed ‘Cyanide and Happiness’ were seen interacting with audience.

Overall Delhi witnessed a magnanimous event in terms of providing variety to the people who came from all parts of country to attend this fiesta and will look forward to welcome COMIC CON again in 2016.
